e2v technologies manufacture Ferrite Devices operation from 350 MHz to 120 GHz, for a wide variety of applications from low cost marine radar to state-of-the-art military devices. Standard units are available in regular waveguide sizes and some special sizes.
e2v technologies offer circulators and isolators as stand-alone units and also as part of an integrated microwave package. They all come with the assurance that e2v technologies have facilities to power test units, giving confidence in all devices.

Guide your signal to transmitter or antenna

You can use the circulator to prevent a mix-up of the signals. The operation of a circulator can be compared to a revolving door with three entrances and one mandatory rotating sense. A microwave signal entering via one specific entrance follows the prescribed rotating sense and has to leave the circulator via the next exit. If an antenna is in a connection, transmitting energy is always escorted to the antenna while the echo signals always find the way to the receiver.

X-Band Circulators

X-Band circulators

S-Band Circulators

S-Band circulators

e2v technologies manufacture a broad range of receiver protectors in all radar frequency bands from 1.25 to 40 GHz. The high power waveguide devices specified below are divided into two categories:

  1. Solid state receiver protectors that normally require synchronous bias during transmission; additional passive protection can often be included
  2. Passive limiters that require no external bias

Extra options for your limiter

PIN switches can be supplied:
  • with or without electronic drive circuit
  • with drive circuit and built-in test (BIT)
  • with quasi-active circuits fot interpulse protection
  • with pre-TR tubes for high peak power fault conditions
  • with phase and amplitude matching
All solid-state receiver protectors can be supplied with the following options:
  • additional filtering >to attenuate spurious transmissions or extend protection range
  • precision dynamic attenuation (STC), digital or analogue
  • solid-state noise generators for inter-pulse performance monitoring

X-Band Circulators

X-Band limiters

S-Band Circulators

S-Band Limiters

Use a front-end as a radar component and you can receive S- and X-band frequencies ranges with one application.

Efficiency in use of the EEV radar system

e2v technologies Ltd. developed these components to make it posssible to receive signals from both the S- and X-band frequency ranges, instead only one of them.
